Woke up and lost 1.6 pounds. Day 3 I ate the same breakfast, left over chicken and rice from the night before for lunch and for dinner made the planned chicken with greens. I tried almonds and chocolate. Got a bit of a headache after the chocolate but still lost 0.4.

Day 2 & 3
So on day 2 I woke up with the worst headache ever. I still needed to do my mom duties for the day and there was no way I could function like this. So I drank a cup of coffee and made an egg and two chicken sausages. Felt better, but still tired. Ate the lunch I was supposed to and then had horrible stomach pains for the remainder of the afternoon. Had chicken for dinner with rice. I know I wasn't supposed to have chicken until day 3 but I could not eat that kale again.

Day 1
I started the day off drinking my water and dandelion tea. I'm used to drinking water so that wasn't a big deal for me. The dandelion tea tasted like grass in all honesty. But I drank it all. The breakfast was ok. The blueberries were the best part. I was hungry this morning. I couldn't wait until lunch. The carrot soup wasn't too bad, but not a big fan of the pumpkin seeds. The broccoli was ok and the salad was kind of dry with no dressing.
The night didn't go so well. I'm starving and thirsty. I drank all my water for the day like the recommendation and stopped drinking before dinner. I've been eating pumpkin seeds because I don't know what else to eat. I just want to go to bed. I knew it would be hard but it's really hard. The book said I would have no cravings and all I can think about is food!

Prep Day
Today is the day to prep for tomorrow. Tomorrow I am starting The Plan. I am kind of sick of dieting and gaining the weight right back when I fall off. Ever since the birth of my son in 2011, it has been a struggle to keep the weight off. I have thyroid issues that have been diagnosed by a doctor, but still struggle with eating healthy and sticking to any diet plan. Then when I do get on the right track, something happens that causes me to go back to my unhealthy ways. I do love food. I wouldn't say I am a horrible eater. I don't eat a lot, but do love sweets and carbs. I try to stay between 1400-1600 calories a day and was working out quite a bit until I had a foot injury. I still wasn't able to lose much weight in the last year. I do eat desserts more than I should. I admit to it. I grew up in a house where there were always sweets, so I always feel the need to have something sweet after a meal. But, lately the pounds have been adding up, no matter what. Since the summer I seem to be just gaining weight. I have to make a change. I know my body is inflamed due to my thyroid issues and my hashimotos. I have also known after much research that I need to do an elimination diet. That's when I heard about The Plan and decided to take the leap and figure it out. I have the week off starting tomorrow, so why not. It can't hurt for me to try something that will hopefully tell me what is triggering the inflammation, bloating, brain fog, and weight gain.
So today, I spent the past hour and half prepping for my first day. I made carrot ginger soup, spicy coco sauce and flax granola. On to tomorrow when The Plan begins. I am hoping for answers and weight loss. The first days will be hard, but I'm willing to try anything at this point.
